Ar-15 .50 Beowulf

This might be a no-brainer, but is the Alexander Arms .50 Beowulf good for feral hog hunting?

If you can find the ammo for it, or reload it yes. I've used one once for them

Anything designed to stop a truck at a military checkpoint should do fine on hogs lol. And I was recently at a bass pro shop and they seem to have a decent supply of ammo on the shelf for the .50. but yes that would knock them down no problem.

You might need a shovel to clean off the mess off a tree...

This is going to sound stupid, but am I the only one who wants to see a handgun made for them?

Beowulf is a far bit bigger.

Why would you waste your time w/ a hand gun in this .cal? Quick follow-up shots? Light recoil? Good accuracy?

Kenney 03-29-2012 09:50 PM

It's like any other ridiculously over powered gun, you don't know why, but you want it.

And if makes you feel better, I like 9mm the best of any caliber.
