Yes, both are Mil Spec.
There is a post called "Chart" that you could check here with some interesting facts. Check it out.

In the AR 10 world, you need to be a tad bit more careful than in the AR-15 world.
There are "two" platforms that the AR-10's are taking:
Armalite
&
DPMS
You choose one, you go down that road. You choose the other one, you are stuck on that highway.
So, if the description of the lower says it is "DPMS" style, you are good to go.
If it is Armalite, then no, not so much.

No. A CMMG lower will fit the DPMS upper, or a few others like Tactical Machine, are made to fit the DPMS, but RRA is it's own animal in the .308 world.

The chart covers AR-15s.
The AR-10 doesn't have a "true" Mil-Spec like the AR-15 since it isn't mass produced for the military, so each company that makes it can change things so it's only compatible with their brand of stuff.
Of course, that's what a quick look on Wiki and bit of critical thinking told me, I am of course open to being corrected by someone who knows more.

Go DPMS style. Magpul and many of the larger aftermarket companys are going the way of DPMS. POF also makes some nice DPMS style steel 25rd mags.

You can buy three Magpul 20's for the price of one POF. But you're right mjkeat, it seems like most of the aftermarket support is aimed at the DPMS platform. The aftermarket lowers I found, the aftermarket mags, all seemed to be DPMS. If budget wasn't a concern, I'd start with the Mega MA-TEN matched upper and lower and build one from scratch.

$70 a piece is high for sure. Honestly I would pay the extra for the additional 5 rounds. At least 2 of them anyway.
If budget wasnt an option Id be toting around a M110.
