I have the 7ex. Good handguard. You will need a low-pro gas block. The only part I don't like is the 2 screws locking it in on the bottom. My new favorite is the AP Customs CF tube.

I have a 15" evo on a 18" build. Great rail, solid lockup. Mostly a rnage only build, and hasn't given me any issues. It is a pretty wide rail, similar to the Troy series.

Great custome cs too. I've had a Rainer Arms Samson evo 12" too. No issues with that one either.

My friend had a 556 Tactical 15" that he over torqued and broke, Samson hooked him up with a new on no problem.

I have the 15" Evo on a 16" carbine. I love the solid lockup as mentioned above and the fact that I can now put my hand anywhere along the length of the barrel. Where ever it happens to be comfortable at that moment. I now also have a rifle length sight radius...BONUS. Also comes with enough rail sections to mount the essentials.
