personally i wouldnt do it. the power in the 50bmg is close to that of a stick of dynamite maybe more. if you want a 50bmg get a complete quality rifle designed to handle that power level.

while a kaboom in a 5.56 ar15 will scare the sht out of you and maybe sting your hands a kaboom in a ar15 using a 50bmg will rip your head off.

but thats just my take on it. im sure others will have a different opinion.

Bad idea.

The lower won't live.

Get her dirty, then clean her so she starts to respect you. When her trust is complete, she will serve you well for a lifetime!

Yes, I've tried one: It belongs to a friend. Magazine fed, bolt action, single shot. No explosions yet, but it is literally *a blast*...
Personally, I am a little leery of the AR lower durability over time, but the cartridge pressure is well contained in the chamber so it's only *concussion* that impacts the lower. It is quite the concussion however.
It's cheap to shoot (for me haha) because he supplies the ammo.
Oh for the days of sub $1 surplus.
