Anybody got their deer rifles out yet?
 

I shoot a sako 243 which is a beautifully shooting rifle and well yes I'm a little prejudice ! Lol anyways went to Walmart and I finially spent the money for sum good ammo boy it makes a difference. Here's my 3 shot group at 100 by the way the ammo is 243 win 95 gr balistic tip supreme like 32 bucks but I can sure tell a difference between the Winchester super x . THE three shots circled are the 243 the ones with the lines thru are my 22lr m4 colt

I bought a shiny new muzzleloader, but i haven't even had time to test fire it. :( I think my cats would LOVE some different, natural cat food for a change.

(honestly, deer aren't much higher in ranking than bear in my book, with their late night jaywalking and all)

Gonna finish sighting in my .243 WSSM this week. Be an AR for deer this year, I think. :D

Monday is going to be our dedicated "sight in" day. Just have to ensure zero on two rifles and one muzzleloader. Then it's fun shooting time.

I shoot my hunting rifles all year long. I am at the range about twice a week.

Yesterday I took another ride around the land I hunt.

A favorite is a new to me custom on a pre-64 M70 action in .300 Win. Mag.

The cartridge is a little too big for old me but the rifle was a good deal. You know how it goes! :)

On it's last accuracy and is it sighted in test it put two shots into 2" at 200 yds.

I have been doing this for 50 years and I have other rifles ready.

Man I love those SAKO Rifles! Had one years ago and let it go. Hoping to have another one some day. And 243 is a good light game caliber. Good Shooting and I hope you have a good year. I have to get busy and get my deer rifle out and confirm Zero for the season. I at the present have a 7MM Rem. Mag. and hunt in Texas most of the time.

Takin my new 30-06 out for the first time this year.
Got to get my ammo loaded first :eek:

If for whatever reason i couldn't use my new rifle i would
Use my (not a rifle) Super redhawk in 44mag.

It's shotgun only for me in lower mi the top gun is the old ladys savage 220 20 gauge nice gun might gut one my self n the lower one is my super nova

Do they not even allow big bore (45 lc, 44mag etc). In lower MI?
Or do you just prefer a shotgun?
