OK so I recently received 400 rounds of this ammo only marking r 223 Rem fc the tip is hard and not plastic and has a black tip any ideas on what it is?

Can you take a pic of the headstamp? They look like the american eagle (federal) 50 grain varmint 223

Likely Federal ammo loaded with the Nosler ballistic tip. Web site shows green tips, but may not be entirely accurate.

Someone mentioned that it may be M995 cause it looks like older ammo but heard that M995 is illegal!!!

If it says .233, it's civilian, not military. (????)

The "FC" is Federal Cartridge.

Yeah that's what I thought and I knew what the fc ment but it has greyish black tips Like I have never seenn before got it for free so can't complain but just trying to figure out what type of ammo it is

Wally world carried them for a while right before this chaos set in. They were a replacement for the american eagle 55gr fmj 20 round boxes that they used to carry for 6.99. They came in almost the same box, but were in sleeves and cost about 12 bucks. 50 gr varmint.
