+1, exactly how I do things now. Even on my new AR I just put over a 1500 rounds through it before deciding to clean it.

I got an Ares piston system before they sold it to Bushmaster. I really don't have any reliability problems with it, but I rather have a DI system because some accessories won't work with it, and you have to file triangle handguards to make them fit. A lot less trouble to make the DI work the way you want to.

Thanks for the input everyone I think that Im going to put this on hold since I've already started another project. Maybe when I have extra cash I'll get back to the black rifle market.
