At 250 Meters (what? About 273 yards?) I would think a 4MOA, and even a 2MOA, reticle is going to be a hinderance. You are going to COVERING your target with a giant red fore-front dot without the ability to make minimal changes should you miss.
Across the street or room-to-room, a 4MOA is going to be a benefit, but once you stretch that target out to even 100 yards, you are giving yourself a handicap.
4MOA at 100 yards is going to be, roughly, a 4 inch circle. A little over 8 inches at 200 yards and your target is getting smaller with each foot traveled.
I am a big fan of the heads up display offered by many modern reticles and CQB scopes. Having said that they are not for "longer" ranges because they completely cover the target with a big red dot.
You might want to consider a quick release scope in a 4x or 6x power for longer ranges and a heads up CQB sight for when you are truly shooting at "short/CQB" ranges.
