The official halflife of the molecule hydrogen-3 aka tritium is 12.32 years. Which means in 12.32 years it will be half as bright as it was brand new. In 12.64 years it will be a quarter as bright as brand new and so on and so forth.

But that's not to say how effective it is as a light source.

you send it to trijicon they inspect it and quote a price

if its dead its under warranty so just lamp replacement = free. if you wish new internals they quote you a price. (basically a new acog)

if it still passes their inspection they offer to replace it and the internals for a fee. (basically new acog)

That's a good question. I have emailed them, so hopefully I'll have an answer soon.

Lightest weight solution get the aimpoint h1 or t1. Your choice of 2 moa or 4 moa dots. Window dosnt really make too much of a difference as you shoot them with both eyes open. The light mount is the LaRue absolute cowitness or DD lower 1/3 mount.

The PRO is a great unit but like the M4 and M3 they are big and heavy.
This is what I was looking for. Thanks a ton. So what do you get for your extra $180 when you go from micro T1 to m4?

My shot groups with the Aimpoint H-1 are the best I have ever done. Setting 7 or 8 works for almost any lighting condition. You won't go wrong with an Aimpoint. The EOTech XPS2-0 is also worth looking at. You may or may not like the EOTech reticle better. I have both the Aimpoint and the EOTech and like both.
