I don't think you do. You have a barrel off a $299 upper you have no idea how many rounds it's seen and an unknown BCG. After adding a decent BCG you're up to around $850. That's a new never fired quality factory AR of known origin that has been assembled properly and backed by customer service. Or you can get a S&W for just over $600. Instead of some guys home brew. But then again you did get some pretty accessories. Priorities I guess.

Not trying to bust your nuts but I think it should be out there for others to learn from.

one thing concerns me is the barrel length, 14.5 inches. now correct me if i'm wrong, but a rifle barrel has to be 16 inches minimum to be legal and if less than that if it has a flash suppressor/muzzle brake it has to be pinned and welded to the barrel to be legal? if so then if the muzzle brake isn't, then that rifle is not legal and could cause someone some major legal headaches. just curious myself about the barrel length.

Funny seems most of us on here are or have built a AR for the reason some jack leg did not design it and did not skimp on parts. I am building my first and when it is done I will gladly put it against any factory built AR. I have built many things in my life including cars and bikes. My Harley is still going strong with only a replaced tranny cause the guy I sold it to did a burnout and tore it up.

Do you know the guy who ASSEMBLED the upper in question? Can you vouch for him? Can you tell us what parts were used in it's assembly?

Upper receivers are like most lower receivers. Pick one you think is prettier.

Well I did. Lol. But all you have to do is take it apart and redo it. Kinda like overhauling a car. Simple and takes a little time. And most BCG from my research are made by just a hand full of companies with other peoples names on them.

Not so much. Reason why people need to read more. Parts or not equal.

He traded off a decent well know handgun for a bubba'd AR assembled of unknown parts except a couple pretty pieces.
