I like the PA micros as well. I have one on a .22 AR and one on an AK. H1s on my other ARs though. __________________ “The bitterness of poor quality Lingers long after The sweetness of low price is forgotten.”

PPC, okdonk's stock would look great on your Colt! Really, a quality buttstock, sling and optic and you'll be set.

I thought I'd paste in a link to a great ACS review by Stickman (which means there're gonna be great pictures!)

I love the looks...now I just have to find out if it's going to fit my rifle. Apparently my rifle is very "finicky" when it comes to aftermarket parts. I contacted Magpul a few weeks back to see if they could verify that their magazines would feed properly with my specific rifle (Since I had such an abysmal run-in with those 42 round ProMags) but still haven't heard back.
Maybe it's time for a second email...they seem to make some pretty high quality stuff...and I hvae money to spend! Lets hope they respond this time Last edited by PrimePorkchop; 01-06-2012 at 04:24 PM. |

Sure the ACS will fit a Colt! Just be sure to buy the one for a milspec receiver extension, not commercial (if Magpul even makes an ACS for a commercial tube). __________________ US Army 1966-69, VFW Life Member, Retired Geek |

They have a couple new versions hitting stores as well. __________________ “The bitterness of poor quality Lingers long after The sweetness of low price is forgotten.”

BTW PPC, PMAGs will work in your Colt too. And don't forget that link I gave you to G&R Tactical for true Colt mags! __________________ US Army 1966-69, VFW Life Member, Retired Geek |

I didn't read the whole thread, my suggestions for function:
get an ambi mag release and ambi bolt release. As a minimum, get the ambi bolt-release.
Avoid the huge "TAC-Latch" - catches on everything.
And the rubbery magwell covers - another waste of ammo money. |

The BCM Gunfighter charging handle is a great upgrade (most people like the Model 4). Also QD sling mounts and a VCAS or VTAC sling. The Noveske QD end plate is well worth $25 if you like to attach the sling there, otherwise you can attach to the buttstock, and the ACS and CTR come with QDs. __________________ US Army 1966-69, VFW Life Member, Retired Geek |

I have a Trijicon ACOG on both my AR's. One has a Surefire M500A forend and the other a DD rail that I put a REAL Grip Pod fore grip. I'd stay away from the bi pod you posted. Get the GPSP-02 grip pod. |
