I run the eotech 516 with the (2) 123 batteries. The batteries are rated at 1100 hours. The eotech has an automatic 8 hour shut off. The 516 has a 7mm raised base which gives perfect lower 1/3 co-witness with fixed front sights. The acogs are awesome too, but I have found the sight picture is much smaller and (for me) slower target acquesition. The 516 will run you $450 and less...the acog is alot more! Probably can't go wron with either, just depends what you intend to use them for.

This might be a little bit off topic - if so I apologize...

I purchased a Colt LE6920 this weekend and I am trying to decide on
an optical sight. I had the chance to briefly, very briefly, look through
both an ACOG and EoTech. When I looked through the ACOG the
reticle was sharp as a tack but the image was not fully focused.

So far I have been unable to determine if there is any focus setting
on the ACOG or is there is a minimum focus distance. I was inside
a small gun shop so maybe I was too close.

Any help would be appreciated!
