It's a walloping 125gr round with full load 2200+ fps velocity and subsonic variant. Not as cheap as 7.62 x 39 but not too unreasonable at about $12 for 20 rounds...not sure what bulk pricing is at the moment.
Do you have any Source for 20" barrels or uppers for the 300blk? I've looked all over and have been striking out.

I am looking for the same type of barrel. I'll let you know what I find.

There is little to no benefit to longer barrels in 300 Blackout. It uses fast burning powders which are ideal for short barrels and suppression.

You are correct that the round was developed with the M4 as it's primary weapon in mind; I'm not sure you'd see a sever performance decrease from adding 4 inches (I'm not saying this as a matter of fact of course) to the barrel. Also, I know the accuracy gains would be minimal, if existent at all. For me it s just a matter of preference.

I've heard some awesome things about the blackout lately and I'm gonna have to check that out as well. I had a chance to put a round in my hand and that is really cool without a doubt. From what I've seen, the ammo is a bit more, but not enough to completely rule it out. I'll have to do some more research on it in comparison to the 7.62x39 to make an honest decision... Or maybe I just need to have both... Lol

Yep, get both. I do. But I rarely shoot my AK variant but am always out of ammo for my 300 BO. I need to get more money and load faster!
I just put a Vortex Strikefire on it to supplement the irons so I now MUST take it back out to the range. PSA had the Strikefire sights for $119 and I couldn't pass that up although an aim point is my future goal.
