Nicely done. One of a kind.

I have a Bushy upper in 7.62x39 I bought last November that I use with my M&P 15 lower and haven't had any problems. Still, I keep hearing about feeding problems with many 7.62x39 caliber AR mags. Have you had any kind of feeding problems with yours?

BTW, I got 4 magazines in the mail during the past week for my gun, 2 from Bushmaster and 2 from ASC - who makes the "factory" 7.62x39 magazines for Bushmaster - at http://www.ammosc.com. That's in addition to the 2 magazines that came with the upper. I ordered them separately back in January and finally got them within a week of one other a few days ago. I don't know if they are just catching up on back orders or finally beginning to produce more mags but I like the mags and they seem to be the "gold standard" when it comes to mags for AR style rifles in 7.62x39. You may want to check them out.

I want to get a Bushmaster mag. I have not shot mine yet, but manually cycled 30 rounds without any issues

FWIW, I understand your reasoning behind using 7.62x39 in your build, it's pretty much the same as mine. I like the idea of a 30 caliber AR style rifle but also want something compatible with the AR's I already have. I really like the 300 AAC Blackout but ammo is expensive and it's almost impossible to find an upper... especially at a reasonable price. I still may eventually get one when they are more available and the ammo is easier to find.

OTOH, I have both a Saiga rifle and SKS in 7.62x39 so I already had plenty of ammo and can still shoot it should I eventually get an upper in 300 BLK or decide to sell the Bushy upper someday.

I'm sad to report I finished this gun July 18th and still have not chambered a round. I have not been able to find time due to travel for work and vacationing every other weekend in places I can't bring it. I am hoping to test it out this week. Hopefully I can get some action gun pron and range report soon.

Looking forward to it, I'd like to build one in 7.62x39 myself, but if I did that I wouldn't have a good excuse for that Arsenal SLR-107FR I've been lusting over:

I like that SLR-107FR. I'm actually considering an AK, that one looks badass. I told myself I have to buy a revolver next, but damn I like it.

I just got an offer for my build. A guy offered me $2500 for my new 7.62 I have not shot yet. I. Have built a handful of AR's for friends at the VFW, and everyone seems to want one now. I showed some pics of my new baby,
And I started getting some offers. I can't sell it because the foundation is a 80% lower. I would have to rebuild the lower with a serialized one. It was tempting, Ive sold 14 now but don't want to let this one go. Felt good that people are interested in my builds over off the shelf rifles.
