Funny it seems no one has even actually READ my original Question. Everyone one seems consumed with the yes you can no you can't issues

My Question was
My Barrel is a 5.56
I know I CAN safely shoot .223
So far I have only shot 5.56 fmj
What's the opinion of the difference in accuracy and knockdown power between the two, when fired from my 5.56 1/9 twist barrel.
If Any

I have a feeling you'll never notice the difference in accuracy.

As far as "knock down power" why would you think there would be a difference due to barrel? The difference would come from the fact they are loaded to different specs.

Thanx I really didn't think you see that much difference. Yea I know the type of shell (fmj/hp etc. etc ) would be what effect knockdown Thought .223 might make more variations of bullet types than 5.56 NATO
But I thought I had read somewhere barrel twist effected accuracy between the two

Yeah there's an entire thread started here recently about twist.

The type of "shell"? Is this one of those AR shotguns? Just kidding . Round, bullet, or projectile works best.

Throw rifle twist in with the 5.56 /.223 debate and we could double the posts on this thread. Better yet, add the third variable of bullet weights into the mix and its unending. check this out Winchester Ammunition cool, fast interface and fun to play with. No rifle twist setting though
