How bout a 5.45 upper to run w/a RLL? Got a few ques, Do they use the same bolt and carrier as 5.56? How bout mags, I have heard they work in GI mags but not that good. Are there special mags for5.45? How bout Pmags? Model 1 has 11.5 uppers w/a 1;8 twist anyone have exp w/them? With surplus ammo how would you say they compare(accuracy wise) to a 11.5 5.56 w/ 1;7 twist? What about that corosive residue in the gas tube, wont it be a bitch to get out? I shooy it in my AKs but I can put my finger in that gas tube. How bad you rekon the laquer coated surplus ammo will gum up a AR blastin full auto?

1/ Same carrier, special bolt 2/ Don't bother w/5.56 mags, get some CProducts 5.45 mags from 44 mag sales (around $15.00 each) 3/ Great uppers, I have a 20" 4/ My 20" 5.45x39 1 in 8 shoots the same as my 20" 5.56 w/1 in 9 twist 5/ Don't worry about the gas tube, if it ever goes bad - just change it out! 6/ laquer don't seem to bother the AKs in full auto, should'nt bother the AR

Not to mention, unless you have some very old Wolf ammo still around, they don't use lacquer to coat their rounds anymore. It's all polymer coated now.
