I don't doubt that for a second. Many of RRA's products are notoriously heavy...and not just by a little bit...they're often heavy to the tune of being 50% overweight. I guess that makes them 'obese'. That's one reason I don't generally deal with them. The other being my own experience where they basically pulled a 'bait and switch' on one of my purchases and displayed alarmingly poor integrity and customer service.
All that said, RRA makes generally good products. And light or heavy riflles can each work to your benefit, depending on the application (stationary vs mobile).
I had some Tactical Elite Delta Force Ninja Extreme RRA in the form of a 16" midlength. It was probably
a great shooter (never shot it before I sold it). But the bare rifle weighed about 10lbs without optics or mag/ammo!!!
...that sure seems like a lot when I can build a rifle with arguarbly superior parts that weighs in around 6.5lbs.
If light weight is not an issue, RRA is an excellent option. But if it is, they're not worth your consideration.
