Default 300 blackout ammo question!

Has anyone seen any in months!? I haven't and been looking and no I don't mean on armslist or that kind of thing. Is this ammo even being produced?! I called Remington and they say yes but if that's true where is it?

Yes it is being produced by several manufacturers.
The demand and price have skyrocketed. The popularity of this caliber has increased as well.
I'm sure ammo makers are focusing on more common calibers which may reduce 300 Blk production.
I roll my own but 5.56 brass, powder, primers and 308 projectiles are scarce.
This question is asked on the 300 Blk forum all the time and AAC assures everyone that ammo is being churned out as fast as possible.

So you don't see this round disappearing anytime soon? I thought it might have lost popularity like some other rounds for the AR15

The 300 Blk is exploding in popularity. Most manufacturers are building guns and/or ammo for this caliber. The gun rush slowed things down a bit but it isn't going to disappear.
There are even reports that SEAL team 6 used suppressed 300 Blk rifles on the Bin Laden raid.
Just change a barrel and you have a much more versatile rifle! What is not to love?

Still that doesn't mean that the round is being mass produced. I can't find one box whole I can find tons of 5.56

And I have a 300 blk rifle and I'm afraid to keep it due to the availability of the round.

Hoping it'll become more available in the near future. Got a 300BLK SBR build in process.

I'll be in the market for a .300 Blackout upper whenever this crap settles down.
Seems like a pretty cool cartridge. If you wish to pursue it, I'd strongly recommend learning to reload. Even when the ammo was available, it wasn't terribly cheap. By reloading you also avoid a lot of problems if it were to suddenly get orphaned for some reason.

Someone in my neighborhood gave me a bag of 1,000 5.56 brass once fired. Is that convertible into 300BLk?

Yes.
A bit of labor and some specialized tools and your on your way.
A quick Google search tells me that there is no shortage of info available.
There's even a .300 Blackout Forum on top of all the AR-15 sub forums that cover it..
