I get this guy into the show, I spend two days explaining the finer points of AR parts, 1911's, rifles, glass, I show epic restraint when he introduces us to his super cool woman and don't stare at her in any sort of lingering way......
And this is how he does me?? Nice.

Sounds like you folks had a good time. Too bad you didn't partake in viewing more boobies and less firearms

Yeah, He just doesn't want me to get one. Though, I do need to budget if I want that 50. Stay tuned, I will make a decision on the AR caliber.

Ha hah hah! No worries.
Yeah. You two are pretty easy to hate.
Glad you enjoyed the time and it was great to meet up and spend some serious gun time. I wish we could have had a few more members join us. Perhaps next year.

The designed upper platform from AAC is coming out in a 9" ( or short barreled rifle ) and should be available in most states ( including Washington ) but you will have to file for the Short Barrel with the Feds AND if you want to get a suppressor for it, you have to file for that too, both of which will cost the infamous $200 tax stamp and NO they can not be covered under the same stamp as they are different pieces of gear.

I thought SBRs weren't allowed in WA even with a tax stamp? At least that's how I've read the WA firearms laws...
Please don't tell me I was wrong about that.

Uber, I kneel before the Altar that est Uber and humbly apologize as I did not make myself clear.....
A SBR is "legal' in Washington State, provided you are willing to add some sort of barrel extension or "flash suppressor" that extends the length from the front of the receiver to the end of the barrel to the required 16".
With a SBR and Suppressor, you can fit both categories, but I am told that it is a "gray" area that is subjected to the person reviewing the application.
I talked to my gunsmith, Sir Brett Evans, tonight and he said that if that was how I wanted to spend my money, that it IS legal in Wa. State but that it is in how the weapon and the paperwork is classified.
Without contacts, you are 100% correct. A straight 9" barrel is flat illegal in the Evergreen State and I apologize for my previous statement.
