I picked up a 3-pack for $30 but that was months ago. My favorite LGS quit selling them so they were in the bargain bin. Since then he's moved to Lancer AWM which I like even better.
I haven't looked for mags lately, I know I'd be shocked.
The biggest issue with assembling an AR isn't so much getting the parts together right - it's getting the right parts together.
You'll remember the quality of a gun long after you forget how much you paid for it.
