It is designed to fire .223 and 5.56. It is supposed to be an optimized chamber for accuracy.
Try to buy .223 Wylde ammunition and see what happens.

The Wylde chamner will handle both. But basically, it is a solution looking for a problem.

I don't think I have ever seen 223 wylde ammo. But I have an AR with the wylde chamber and it will shoot both 223 & 556 without any trouble.

You CAN shoot any .223/5.56 ammo in ANY .223/5.56 chamber period, but some accuracy will suffer between the two !..............

There is no 223 Wylde ammunition. The 5.56 has a longer larger leade than the 223. The Wylde chamber is basically a 5.56 length lead with the diameter of the 223 leade. The Wylde will generally be more accurate than the 5.56 all things being equal.

Sorry but the heavier bullets can cause serious pressure spikes in 223 chambers. The throat or leade in a 223 chamber is shorter than in a 5.56 chamber. The Wylde chamber is a compromise.

Yes that is true for most Ar 15 platforms but when u talk about 223 bolt actions it's a little different. I had that issue once I had a bucket of combine 223/556 for one of my ar 15s and I then was using a 223 bolt and grabbed 556 on mistake and had a issue. I have heard some
People say there Ar shoots better wit 556 or shoots better with 223 but That's all minute differences and preferences
