223 to 204 conversion help

i was wondering if i could get a 223 upper reciever and buy a 204 barrel and just switch the barrels and have a 204 upper? i just wanted to know because it would save me some money. I thought i might need a different gas system. Any help would be apreciated

Yes, although I'm not sure it uses the same bolt.

I am also not sure about the bolt. I did see someone with barrels.. Wilson?? You can also use an adjustable gas block.
