I have a 7400 carbine that is my "poor man's battle rifle". Accurate, reliable, WAY more powerful than either the SKS or the AK. The Yugo SKS can have problems. The gas system is prone to corrosion if not cleaned properly. The WASR-10 started life as a low capacity AK clone. Many have had the mag wells opened up to accept standard capacity (30 and 40 rd) magazines. Some were badly done and have reliability issues as a result. Also by enlarging the mag well, you put the gun under section 922r of the Federal laws. You MUST change out some of the parts to US made parts or be in violation of Federal law.
If you are happy with the 7400 and it serves a purpose in your collection, keep it or hold out for a better deal
In life, strive to take the high road....It offers a better field of fire.
