Can I convert my underfolder to a fixed stock?

It's a non-trivial task.

You'll need a Yugo fixed stock trunnion, then remove the U/F stock and trunnion, and if you want to do it right - weld all the holes and re-drill correct ones before riveting in the new one.

So much involved you'll be ahead of the game buying a fixed-butt AK and then selling off your M70AB2. They're good AKs and sought after, I'll never sell mine.

Yea I had a chance to do some research. I agree, but I'm not gonna sell mine either. Thanks for the help!!

I was dumb enough(and broke) to sell mine, I loved that rifle it felt so much better then the new cheap AK's. Ever get another I'll never sell it.

We've all been at that point before; having to sell and later regretting it.

My "family economy" pretty much forces me to sell a gun to raise the cash to buy another gun.

Downside is getting into a gun too deep and not being able to resell - or sell at a loss. Gun rich and money poor.

Yeah my divorce claimed my Bushmaster AR-15 and my Yugo

I have all hope's of keeping all of the guns I've acquired so far. Mossberg 500, g30, g26, and of course the yugo. I understand that sometimes **** happens though. I'm still new in collecting so there are plenty of more on my wish list. For now I'm gonna just build on what I've got and try and become good at using them as I can.

I've had my pre-ban Mitchell Arms Yugo M70 since 1988. To make it more comfortable to shoot I put on a cheek rest and rubber recoil pad. Now it's perfect and all the AK I'll ever need. It ain't going anywhere.

I belive mine was a 88" that's kinda funny, it had the stock steel underfolder stock(ab2) and I could shoot it all day w no noticeable soreness from recoil.

It was annoying stretching my neck to look through the scope due to that high Yugo scope mount, though I won't complain much cause that mount can't be found today. The recoil pad extended the stock to a length which I prefer, but wasn't comfortable with that metal butt anyway. It didn't make my shoulder sore, but was just uncomfortable. Now I really have a great time shooting it.
