Mosins dont kick that hard, but Im done shooting them after 40-50 rounds, after that, im sure my shoulder would cease to exist, especially using the M-44. And ill one up for that winchester, $101.and loose change in my pocket.

The aftermarket is starting to open up for popular Russian

rifles, such as the SKS, and M/N. I just got a recoil pad for the stocks

of each of mine.

Don't ridicule someone for having a recoil pad, they don't want to have the shooters shoulder a fast and they can shoot for a while longer. Hell I have a recoil pad on my Remington 1187, it came already attached to the shotgun and I left it on there because it looked nice. Go ahead and ridicule me, insult me but really it's not affecting you and you truly shouldn't give a rats a$$ about something on SOMEONE ELSES firearm.

Theres nothing wrong with having a recoil pad at all.. but for an SKS? Really?

I don't think the "moob" comment was to ridicule anyone. It was a simple joke. Are you not familiar with the word "moob"?

Let me help you understand what moobs are...

Oh, TYVM for that image.

The main purpose of the recoil pad is to

increase LOP, the recoil reduction is just a bonus.

But WTF do I know...

Now WHERE is that eye-bleach!

Go put that crap in 7's threads!

You are a complete and utter retard, nothing of what I said had anything to do with lack of history, that rifle was made in 1919 at the steyr plant in Austria . You are just a worm that can't take it if someone is against your crap guns. And the dude with the older Winchester that was wining about it not shooting 2moa. I worked for the #1 Winchester shop in the US and guess what almost all of the old 86,92,94,95 whatever all shot moa ish with good ammo or I relined them and then they did. It's the shooter of you can't.

I'm with you 7. I don't understand why you were attacked from the start either. Let's all keep an open mind. 7 was the first response so how is he being the disrupter?

I got a $500 Howa with a japanese nikko sterling scope that shoots sub moa all day long. Cheap. Accurate. 300 WM. What cheap ammo? Reload.

I don't care for ak's, SKS, mosin, whatever. ON THE ONES I'VE SEEN, the quality is terrible, they look like hell, and I could not be less interested. I don't buy collectible gold coins on late night tv either. I can appreciate history without owning it.

Plenty of "cheap" quality fire sticks out there.

How's this for history:

I love my SKS its one of my fav's! They are great weapons and reliable. Mine has never jammed or had any probs. I am actually looking for a second one that I am thinking about making a bullpup style SKS out of.
