Now before you respond. This is my Pre-Ban Ak.
I love my .30-30 in the woods.

Nice gun.The answer to the question "which caliber is the best for..." shoukd be always the same:Any caliber/ammo that will do the job.It all depends on what you have to do and you personal preferences:e.g. americans are trained to use maily .223 and prefer it, I'm trained to use mainly the m43/m67 ammo(7,62x39).I would choose a ak, the american guy would choose an AR15.
If we talk about ammo, there are many factors to take in consideration, like the trajectory flatness, penetration, stopping power, weight, effective range, etc.

I like them.

I never could get into AR's, Mini's or other popular guns, I have a lot more fun with AK's and other communist weapons.

Because ammo is cheap. Got an SGL-31 and love it just as much as my AR's surprisingly!

Hahaha, bought one because I'd been shot and hit enough times with one that I wanted to see what the other end was like.

Fortunately I got my Saiga ( true Russian) with 4 mags for $300 before all the Obama BS from my local gun dealer who was going out of business.

It had 50 rds shot thru it and I've put another 150.
Shoots great and I like this end of it much better.
