My only issue is I keep hearing about a seal issue that causes them not to function real well if a leak occurs. But the rifle as a whole works great otherwise. I'm hoping to pick up another SKS really soon. I want a Russian but I see a Yugo at a decent price I'll jump right on it.

It is that expensive because they're charging panic buying prices.

I want either less corruption or more opportunity to participate in it.

Love mine. Shoots great. But as mentioned you can't mod it at all. For some reason the grenade launcher and bayo attract a lot of attention at the range.

The M59/66 has the grenade launcher, there is also an M59 which did not have a grenade launcher. There are several varieties of grenade launchers: http://georgestragand.com/yugosksgl.html

Don't forget the Albanian SKS, far less imported and a few neat differences from other SKS varieties.

Yeah, the Albanian one does deem pretty neat.
I like the charging handle design.

I have a Yugo M59/66. I love it, I've handled (but not shot) a Norinco model, I didn't like it. It felt cheap. It was one of the made for export ones. I've handled a Russian model too, it's got a nice feel to it. Same with the Albanian, they're longer and have the AK style bolt handle, the one I held was a little rough, but nice. But like I said, I prefer the Yugo model.

I love my 1950 Russian! Shoots great and pretty accurate out to about 450 yards.
