I have never hunted a deer with such rifle, but I know someone who has.Personally, I prefer a heavier bullet for such activities...like a 30-08 or a 8mm Mauser....something that can deliver 4000+ joules of energy.the m43 is good for killing a person, not an animal about 450+ kgs.
