Default What are the threads on a yugo SKS grenade launcher?

Ok, so I wanna make a muzzle brake to screw on my SKS, in place of the grenade launcher.
What is the thread size, so I know which tap to get?

Is it right hand?
AK's have 14 x 1 counter clockwise thread so imho it should be the same in yugo SKS - it is still CCCP/USSR/ZSRR rifle.

Or right hand thread is a counter clockwise thread?
It could be confusing for me - properly translation from English to Polish.

Could you modify your grenade launcher by drilling, maybe you another muzzle brake as a pattern?

I thought about it, but turns out taking off or modifying the grenade launcher could actually violate the ATFs laws on the Yugo SKS.
It actually might already be "illegal" since I have an aftermarket stock on it, but I bought it like that, so if it is illegal, I have no responsibility for the previous owner's actions.
Man the ATF makes some confusing laws.
TAKING OFF the GRENADE LAUNCHER makes it ILLEGAL???
Come on, now...
