What should i do to my sks stock?

I am looking to restore my Russian sks and I herd that sanding a stock will ruin the value of my war gun. Is that true? And if so what do I do?

You can try Citristrip. Not sure I spelled that correctly. Once you get it down to bare wood what are you going to do with it?

Honestly, I would leave it alone.

Sarco sells SKS stocks for $20 if you want to change the look, i bought one about 2 weeks ago, they look brand new but may require minor fitting.
Mine was spike cut.

I wouldn't do anything to it.
