It's tacked but a Dremel will fix that

At least that's what I am hoping I can do. I watch some videos, and it seems very simple to do with the dermal.
I think the thread is going to be 14x1lh

I have the slotted on now and I agree the slant works better but I suspect this thread is more about cool than effectiveness

Incorrect, as I posted I'm looking for a compensate for felt recoil.
Correct, of course if I'm going to put an aftermarket parked on I do wanted to look as good as possible

CNC Warrior makes a AK-74 style muzzle brake that reduces recoil and it fits over the standard 14MMx1MM LH threading typical of a 7.62MMx39MM AK/AKM carbine or rifle.

https://www.cncwarrior.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=21640

The AK-74 type muzzle brake is pretty effective. It may not be the absolute best thing you can buy to reduce muzzle climb and recoil, but it's better than a barrel nut (designed to protect the barrel threading) or slant comp (designed to reduce muzzle rise).

There's a plethora of other options available now, some of which are listed below:

Arsenal AK-74 muzzle brake (only usable with an adaptor on standard 14MMx1MM LH threading, so far as I know)
Arsenal AK/AKM muzzle brake (standard on some of their current 7.62MMx39MM)
BattleComp
Damage Industries (various brakes)
DynaComp
EFFIN-A
NightBrake
PWS
Vortex

Those are all that I can think of right now, but I'm certain there are others.

Where and when you buy will obviously affect what you pay, so shop around.
