Default VEPR AKM's??????

Can someone here please tell me about these weapons?

I have heard several folks here talk about them, all in the good.

Point me in the right direction please.

Still a stamped receiver. But much thicker metal.

Almost a bull barrel, not one of those whippy light

jobs. A single stack mag, but you have choices,

like .308, and 7.62X54R.

Single stack mags. Expensive, limited ones- you get

two 5-rounders(hunting) with the rifle, and 10 rounders

have to be ordered separately-@50$. Advertised as a

hunting rifle.

Made by "Molot Oruzhie Ltd"-JSC VJATSKIE POLIANY

(machine building plant) 135 LENINA STR.

612960 VJASKIE POLIANY, Kirov Region, Russia

Phone: (883-34) 6-13-62

FAX: (833-34) 6-21-99

Due to the fact that the stock provided(which is formed at the

front, to the receiver, but simply a block wood end user carving

project, unless the LGS shapes it first) has LOP for @ a

person 5' 2" tall, and my LOP is considerably longer, until I

make adaptations, an objective range report is unavailable

at this time.

However, I can offer that the bolt does not lock back after

the last round, or at all. I was happy to notice the usual recoil

from the 7.62X54R Mosin ammo was considerably reduced.

Are you wanting to know about the current production VEPR's, like these, or the older VEPR's like the VERP-K from Robinson Arms?

Contact "Iron Site" in Largo, FL. They form the stock, takes a day or two

after they get it in.

These are the Cadillacs of AK-based semiautos. They really are sporter rifles, with better fit and finish, reduced mag capacity, much better furniture, and heavier weight. They seem to sell fast and at a premium. The best chance to catch one over the counter would be at a gun show. Because the Veprs are original brand-name factory production, buying one NIB from an Internet vendor or ordering it through a dealer is reasonable.
