Tulammo .223 or Brown Bear .223
I was wondering what's the better ammo out of these 2. I've shot maybe 400-500 rounds of TULA and I've had like 10 cases seize up in my chamber. I shot 40 rounds the other day and then they started seizing up one after the other. Maybe my barrel was getting hot. The Brown Bear was good but, its laquer coated and I'm not for sure if that's good to shoot all the time. ANY INFO WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANKS FOR READING.

A couple of us here have had Tula stick in the chamber also, in ARs, while Wolf works fine. Haven't tried Brown Bear. Are you shooting in a Saiga?
|
Yeah, a saiga .223. I went and bought a couple hundred rounds of PMC BRONZE the other day for $7.99 a box and I went back today and there $12.99. WTF

I have shot Tula, I got the same thing a case jammed in the chamber.
I won't shoot any of the older Brown Bear, I think the new stuff are poly coated now. The one I would suggest is Silver Bear 62gr. it works great through all of my guns. |
The re-branded Silver Bear is the only ammunition I have had problems w/. Not a big deal as "problems" only consisted of a single failure due to a short stroke.
As most know I like shooting steel cased ammunition. The cheaper the better. |

ARs from self assembled to complete factory builds (BCMs, DD, LWRC, Spikes, self assembly .223 and x39). AKs from WASR, converted Draco, and a Saiga. I also run a VZ58.
I like the steel cased stuff. It allows this poor boy to shoot a lot ;) |

I also look at it as a, why not. It functions great in all my firearms. I even used it in my Kimbers and am planning on using it in my M&P9. Training and defense being separate. You could use it but I prefer something that'll expand more.
