Default Trouble On the Horizon?

So after much searching and deliberation for which AK type rifle to buy, I've finally decided I'm going to pick up a converted saiga. I was wondering with the Izhmash factory claiming bankruptcy if you guys think it will be hard to find replacement parts in the near future for the Saigas? Or are there enough of em out there were its not gonna be a problem for a few years? Figured I could just pick up the rifle and a few replacement parts now if need be.

Wouldn't probably a huge majority of AK parts interchange with a converted Saiga? I thought that the only difference would be in some of the pins involved in relocating the trigger group?

Hey, don't take my word for it, I'm neither an AK owner nor expert. But that's been my understanding, that converting a Saiga is simply taking a sporting version of an AK and turning it into a "real" AK.

I know you are correct on that. I've been reading tryin to learn as much as I can but there's soo much out there on them. I haven't found anything pertaining to being able to swap parts tho :P maybe someone else will chime in here that knows a little more than us
