go to smaller gun shops where they are more in tune with the laws then the big stores like gander mountain or such... They will carry 30 rounders that are "pre-ban" and contain no markings... i bought my AK and it came with 2- 30 round preban mags...
same thing with any gun in existance before 94 that had hi-cap mags...
The price for ONE mag here is around 30 bucks compared to free states charging like 5... enjoy NY

yea even the prebans scare me lol call me a ***** but class D felony scares me to even touch anything nowadays,,, lol

Thank god I live here in Arizona. The gun laws here are mostly all pro-gun. Wish I could help you on the magazine issue for your AK.
It is nice (do not mean to rub it in) to pull out my AK or RPK and put the 40 or 75rd drum on it and have a blast. Hope one day you will be able to do the same.

Thank god for the great northwest, I ordered a 75 rd drum from Sportsman's guide and it came right to my door, the same thing with my 100rd AR15 drum and ammo.

Wish I could send you some, but would not want to get you in trouble. If I get a chance I will post some picks of my RPK with the drum and 40rd mag's with my Maddi.
