Tapco magazine....
 

Well my SKS came with a Tapco magazine in it not an original one. Now when I went to load and shoot it today I pulled the charging handle back and it won't even strip the round to put in the chamber, my neighbor took it out of the SKS and now the magazine won't even go back in. Where can I get an original magazine?

With the tapco mags the bolt must be locked to the rear to install one. It will not go in with the bolt forward.

Really, Why is that? So if I put a TAPCO AR15 mag in my ar15 it would do that too?

The bolt was open and besides the mag will not fit back into the wood I'm just buying a 10 round internal one that came factory with it.

Alright bought a 10 round factory magazine off ebay. Bought 5 dummy rounds to test it with also.

Nope mine works just fine bolt open or closed.

The bolt did close forgot to say I was doing it the wrong way and got the mag back in but I have a feeling it wouldn't work so bought a 10 round factory.
