surefire 60 round banana mags
Is anybody as excited as I am?! Hopefully cost will come down as other manufactures start copying the design.
I've only seen them for AR's...are they making them for AK's/SKS's? I haven't had much luck with hi-cap mags...or drums...my wallet REALLY doesn't like them!
I misread and thought I saw them for the ak. I'm contemplating converting my saiga 223 to take ar mags so I can get a few of these.
Please don't refer to them as 'banana' anything... At least you didnt say clips.:p
Got something against bananas? They're high in potassium
First off the magazines are not yellow. I serioously doubt they are the least bit tasty.
Need reviews that confirm their goodness.
60 (and even 100) sounds great, but expensive. But on the other hand http://www.everydaynodaysoff.com/wp-...a-magazine.jpg |
I guess I am a little different. I do have a bipod on my AR. But I try to keep it light weight without a bunch of crap I don't need. I don't really care to add the weight of a 60 round mag in my gun.
Are you talking about a 60rd double stack mag or a quad stack mag?
The double stack has been out for years, here is one on my Romy RPK. http://i48.tinypic.com/21nk4z5.jpg If it is the quad stack I would like to see some of them too if the price is right. |
The Surefire 60 and Surefire 100 are made for the M16 / AR15 platforms.
They seat into the magazine well as would a normal 10/20/30 rounder. http://www.surefire.com/media/catalo.../SF-HCM_60.png The difference is that they are a DoubleStack on the lower portion, with the rounds converging into single stack on the upper portion. The Surefire web site covers them in detail. http://www.surefire.com/tactical-equipment/high-capacity-magazines.html |
