Saw two of em at a flea market several months ago for $450.

At a gun show today, Russian Sks in good shape, complete with pig sticker and sling, 800 rounds of brass case, all for $600.

Also saw an unissued norinco tanker/ airborne shorter barreled for $400.

I've got a yugo sks that I love to shoot and has never given me any problems. I bought it from a buddy for 75 buck about 6 or 7 years ago.

I've attempted to use the detachable mags and have come to the conclusion they are junk, I wasted my money buying 4 different mags and not a one of them worked worth a damn. No more, ill just use stripper clips with the original built in box mag.

Look for one with a star on it, stamped outwards.

Snap up one in good condition, if you can find one.

Check all the usual internet suppliers...

Some of the original chinese may be available too.
Might even be some US ones. . . .
Just make sure that it replaces the original design, and does not modify it to the "removable sks" or AK mag moodificaiton.

As noted in the picture this one still pivots and functions like the original.
