Here in Texas, we can do pretty much what we want, short of modifying a semi into a class 3 or SBR. Funny thing is, we also don't have too many shooting rampages... at least not like California, a state that has heavy gun restrictions and several shooting rampages every year. |
SKS with TAPCO T6 Stock Legal in CT???
Hoffman's Guns Says "NO" and I'd believe them. If it's got a hand grip and/or adjustable stock that there says NO according to them.

I know this post is old, but I am told that in order to have that stock or an adjustable stock like the Tapco you must have it "permanently" pinned in one position so that it is no longer adjustable. I want an SKS for my next project. I know I should try to dig up CT laws but anyone from CT know if the Tapco 20 rd mags are an issue here?

I'm not positive but I believe that having a pistol grip plays a big part in this. Once you have that that pretty much limits you to having one other thing that would classify a gun as an "assault rifle". That means if you also have a detachable mag, then no barrel attachments (ie compensator etc), no bayonet or bayonet lug, and there are a few more. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
