Sks Scope help

I recently purchased a Tasco pronghorn scope to mount on my sks and after firingaround ten rounds through it I've noticed the shell casings hitting the scope when they were ejected.my question is will that damage anything on the scope? Thanks

Yep. It will mess it up. I would not scope an SKS but a scout configuration might be best.

There are shell deflectors available. I've seen one kind that mounts off the sight base & one that mounts as part of a scope mount.TAPCO Shell Deflector SKS Steel Blue - MidwayUSA
That picture is of the second type. I have one & a receiver cover-based scope mount. It deflected the shells, but i could never get satisfied with the scope setup.

http://www.midwayusa.com/viewproduct/?productnumber=570069 Looks like the scope mount i used. The deflector can be mounted using the screws on the side there.
