Default sks or Saiga?

seeing both...which would you recomend?
im located in cali.....
saw the sks for 350$
and the saiga for 400$
my question is:
is the reciever and barrel thicker on the sks than the saiga?
also for the saiga, if one installs a bullet guide to make it accept standard ak mags, would this still comply with ca compliance?
(saiga would use a mag lock of course)
any thoughts?

Eh, go with the Saiga.

I don't know anything about California law, but I don't think a bullet guide would be a problem if you use legal capacity magazines.

Move out of Cali like I did... Hehe.

But saiga specific mags and you don't need a bullet guide.... Unless you plan on having like 20 magazines it isn't a big deal to just buy 30$ surefire mags

The pics got my 1911 in it too sorry

And if you're in Cali just keep the Monte Carlo stock on... The bullet button isn't worth the pistol grip.... God the bullet button is the stupidest thing I've ever heard of... I'm 100 miles north of where I used to live in Cali and now my gun is a whole nother beast... Tapco stock and forearm, UTG cheap crappy foreword grip (that is actually not so bad) and a maglite mounted to it. Epic and I love it -.-
