SHTF or WROL, and/or the dude is just plain out shooting at me. WROL, if I know the person is going to be a threat, I would definitely shoot first.

Those are pretty much the only scenarios I could think of. Was just checking.

Some real nice hardly used Chinese SKSes online, are Chinese SKS with chrome barrel called or made by Norinco?
Never shot my Chinese at that distance but I can put all 10 rounds center mass of a silhouette target standing with no rest at 100 yards all day. Factory irons with cheap Steel Tula/wolf/hotshot ammo.

That sounds real good, ever taken it to 200 yards?

No modifications... No hand loads either.

I may have just gotten lucky with the accuracy of this rifle. I've not seen another hold 1.5" MOA, but I've also not seen any other original Russian guns... So perhaps they are all that good, but I've not researched it.

Tack

Nah, me and a buddy built a range on his property and really only had room for 100 yards. Since I have that I've never been to an actual range you pay for that might have longer distances. They do great at 100 though!

Well my 1950 did about 3 inch groups with 1 flyer out to about 5 inches with irons and having to aim with my blurry eye. And that was cheap tula. Could get better with brass case and a little scope.

Anyone know how common an offset or bent barrel is on a rifle like an SKS.

These little products of "Communist" manufacturing is to simply provide a firearm for the masses. You may fire enough rounds at 300 meters to hit a target. Just make sure the guy you are shooting at does not have a scope sighted Mdl. 700 .308. You will likely die before your 3rd shot.
