My father in law gave me this sks and I know nothing about them.
It has a folding stock and a bayonet on it and looks to be 30 round magazines for it. any help is greatly appreciated, haven't decided if I am going to keep it or not.
Is that a regular AK mag laying along side? Does it function in the gun? If so, it is likely a Chinese SKS-D or M. They were the only ones made for AK mags. Highly desirable. Non-standard, US made stock detracts from collector value, but probably worth $500+ depending on the locale.
In life, strive to take the high road....It offers a better field of fire.

Is it just me, or does it resemble the one mentioned in reply #7 there, a pre-ban conversion by Midwest Ordinance. The stock and pistol grip look exactly alike; check out the markings. Does it say "Midwest ordinance" on the bottom just toward the muzzle from the magazine?
Pre ban not sure of the year and value is 350-600 depends on how bad someone wants it. With how crazy gun prices have been and looking at the shape of the gun I would ask around 700. If it were me I wouldn't sell it they are just 2 rare. But if you really want you could donate it to.… me.
