Default SKS Groupings

I have a 1954 Russian SKS and am learning to reload my own ammo.. What kind of groups will a SKS shoot with handloaded ammo? I know its not gonna be a benchrest rifle....

This is all up to the shooter, I never met a gun which wasn't more accurate

than I am.

I would venture to say perhaps a 2MOA is do-able, with decent ammo,

and repeated practice.

What kind of groups are you getting now?
Scoped or open sights?
Off hand or on a rest?
Distance?
What type of ammo are you using?

Your question brings up a lot of questions! lol

I dont really know... Its been though a few crappy scopes & mounts, and ive really havent seen what it can do yet.. I finally have a good scope and mount (a 8x42 posp with the receiver mount) but it was a bit windy the day I took it out and I didnt get any consistant groupings. Ill let you guys know next time I take it out, I have some surplus ammo and one box of Winchester brand.
The SKS has a harris bipod on it. I plan on using open sights up to 75-100 yds, scope for 100+.
Ive always just bought whatever ammo came in the biggest crate for the lowest price I could afford at the time.... Now that im into reloading im learning that commie surplus stuff really isnt that consistent. Before that I just thought ammo was pretty much the same...
