It's the original 10 round mag.
I will try that, but I am positive the follower spring is not pushing upward. Thanks for the advice I will throw it back on and try it out!

Try transmission fluid. I find it works especially well with my AKs and SKSs.

After cleaning the barrel, swab thru some ATF. When you clean

the parts, wipe them down with ATF. After they are clean, a light wipedown

with ATF keeps the dirt in suspension after the next firing. Also

run ATF through the barrel at the range. Makes cleanup at home

easier and faster. It's much cheaper than most gun solvents.
