How about some kind of epoxy? You could fossilize your rifle! |

Dog poo has emollients, grease, and structure. Not to mention
a smell which would drive away everything but flies... |

Good deal! The norinco's i've looked at looked much less "surplus" than the Yugo's i have seen; of course, i guess most all of them are. It is my understanding the "norinco's" were really just made for export anyway, most of them anyway (especially with the blond wood). The norinco's also have that crome lined barrel for shooting the corrosive surplus ammo. __________________ Dead Bears, the only good kind.

I would check out the barrel. Some have pressed and pinned barrels and some are threaded. And the yugos have more parts. If you wana change anything there's more to change on thoes to still be compliant with that dumb law. |

well. I sir have got a norinco sks wich i picked up for $300 at a gun shop. unfired, no bayo, and no cleaning rod.
but this gun shoots beautifully! never had a problem, love the chrome-lined barrel, added a bayo i got for $20, then added the tapco stock. feels a lot better and still shoots just as good (makes it a lot less awkward to hold.)
i purchased the 20 rounder tapco mag but its on backorder... so ill find out here in about 3 weeks if its reliable or not.
also i like the tapco stock because its adjustable(6piston) and i can put a foreward mounted optic on it. (when i get one) |

Has anyone seen an inert grenade for the Yugo SKS for sale?
About the Chinese 20 round fixed box magazine, there were some made that didn't have the star stamped on the sides, they were also blued instead of painted. They seem to be better quality including a stronger spring.
I made a mistake when I sold both my SKS's and bought a Colt AR 15, and Ruger Mini 14. (I'm not impressed with the .223/5.56 round) I sold them both and bought a nice Yugo and now looking at the Romanian AK's offered by JG sales. |

I hear a lot of people say they have had issues with their removable magazines. However, I have a 30 round "banana" style mag for my Yugo SKS and I've never had an issue with FTFs. __________________ "Regardless of whether justified of not, you will feel sad about killing another human being.
