Opinions and uses vary. I have a sem-bubba'd Chinese that is darn accurate and very fun to shoot.
If you were more of a collector, a Russian or Albanian would hold more of your interest.

I am told by all "nuts" like me the Norinco is damn good. Their 1911's are Excellent too, as are their M-14 wannabes' Their Steel is the best there is. Norinco 1911's are coveted to be the foundation for "race guns"
I have a Norinco SKS fromt he days when they were $65.00 each, and I shoot the snot out of it...or DID! I cast my own bullets

and have brass that is a good ten years old, much of which i bought when Midway had Lapua brass at a great price. Lapua lasts forever. No I don't have wheels or access to a range. Until it got shelved i was getting ready to mount a Russian PU-scope mount to the receiver. Receiver cover scope mount bases aren't any good, wont hold zero. you gotta mount scopes on the receiver

I, too, will say that the Norinco and Polytech SKSs are the best. Look for one with the barrel threaded into the receiver, though.

Beautifully machined and assembled, but not all were chrome lined. I had two and sold them for that reason.
