Depends on what you're looking for and your budget. Most folks would say Russia and get a Saiga. You can convert it to use AK mags and look more like an AK or buy it converted. Nothing wrong in getting a WASR like in the video, it works too.

For about the same money is the saiga better quality then the wasr. I seen both for around 450.

The I've owned a WASR, 2x 7.62x39 Saigas, and a .308 Saiga. i would have to say the Saigas are more solid. The WASR did run 100% of the time as well.

I'd go the saiga route. Much better fit and finish then most WASR's, but either will do the job.

If you want to have a relatively inexpensive range gun to have fun...why spend more than you would for a WASR? Spend the money you save and buy a lot of ammo.

If you want a really nice AK47, there are great options out there.
