As per our PMs I can only speak on my experiences. My experience in the mountains of Afghanistan was that there wasn't a door we couldn't kick down or open via Humvee or UpArmor.

We used Hooligan tools which could be strapped to a vehicle and C4 was always an option should the need present itself. I'd rather pack both of those items on a vehicle than carry a rail mounted shotgun at the end of my weapon and the extra ammo on my IBA. The extra weight on the muzzle end of a weapon makes it less maneuverable and the extra weight on ones IBA makes them less maneuverable as well as increase fatigue.
