Hello everyone. I am new to this site.

I am looking to buy an ak47. Can someone please tell me if there are major differences among the different manufacturers and countries of origin ? I have seen some from former Eastern Block countries (mostly Romania).

Which ones are most recommended ? Thanks for your help

There are major differences between East Bloc, Chinese and other domestically assembled Kalishnikov pattern rifles. Do your research carefully before you invest in an AK. The site above will give you a good start. This is a direct link to Chinese MAK 90 rifles, but the tabs on the right should give you plenty of info.
